need help with 2 s&w 38 specials , model and valve . one is a 4" barrel with 38 S & W speical and U.S. SERVICE CTG S on the left side of barrel and it has a fling cross emblem with some writing that I can't read except for AUG. 4 and OCT. 4 on the right side.Has a trade mark emblem on rt. side of frame. s# is 40*** The other is a snubnose with SMITH & WESSON and below 38 S&W SPC CTG. on left side of barrel. Has a trade mark emblem and MADE IN U.S.A MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD , MASS. on rt side of frame. s# 149***
