Hi-standard Mitchell Trophy II??

Post subject: Anyone have anything on the Hi-Standard Mitchell trophyII

I've been shopping for a while and come across this stainless Hi-Standard for 475$. I don't know much about is except is feels really nice, had a great trigger, condition is about an 8.

I had my mind set on a Ruger MKIII blue bull, but couldnt make up my mind on the 5.5 or 6 7/8 barrel. Any input to help me clear up my mind on my choosing would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chad

Chad;
The original HiStandards are very fine guns and you would not go wrong to buy or to own one. They have almost a cult following.
I do not know if yours is one of the originals or one of the new models now being made I believe in Tx. That doesn't really matter but the quality is unknown to me for the new models.

Having said that, it is hard to go wrong with the Ruger 22s as they have been around for a long time and millions of them in ownership around the world and seldom does anyone have a problem with any of them.
there are als a lot of after market makers of custom pieces and parts for them if and when you wish to personalize or customize your gun. It can also make a big difference to be able to get work done if you need to and there are good mechanics for the Rugers if and when necessary.

Hope this helps a little..
Stay safe and good luck.
