If money was no object I would get either a Ed Brown or a Wilson Combat pistols.
I'd have to take an accu-lock 1911 made by Travis Strahan
Iown 2 Charles Daly 1911's, one a full size, the other a Compact/Officer's model. They both have been perfect shooters, meaning abaolutely no feed/ejection problems, and both are very accurate. They were lower priced than most, but I have had mush experience with Armscor - made 1911's and have never had a bad one, so I decided to buy the 2 Dalys and never regreted it. When I buy another 1911, it will be an Armscor - made one, either a Rock Island or another Daly.
(I started shooting 1911's in the early 1970's and have seen and shot a few different ones.)
a lesbaer they are the best as far as i am concerned. and at 1500.00 a bargain in todays market
No doubt a nighthawk customs ingraved handmade 1911 for about 6000 lol but that will never happen.
a Jimmy Clark, if he's still building them. otherwise, a Kimber.

Since I do not want to spend over $1,500 for a gun , I've got the one I want.
Kimber Pro CDP II with a Crimson Trace Laser Grip:
I can think of several others that cost a lot more that I'd love to have if anyone wants to give me one
I'd like an Original Colt Model of 1911 U.S. Army
I really like Ithaca's new 1911...
My brother recently bought a Nighthawk!
It may not be worth the money??~!~~ But it is by far the smoothest action and trigger I have ever tried.
If money were no object, Nighthawk would be my choice!
STI my choice,
